Job Description
Group Financial Controller - Sussex - Extremely competitive package available for the right candidate
My client are a global energy company who are recruiting for a Group Financial Controller on a permanent basis.
Lead the redesign of the Group's monthly management accounts, working closely with the Business Units to improve the quality of analysis and commentary and increasing Business Unit accountability
Lead the redesign of the Group Consolidation and Reporting process ensuring simplification of all processes
Lead the consolidation and publication of the Group's monthly management accounts including all primary statements, measurement of key KPIs and supplementary schedules
Lead and support the Business Units and overseas subsidiaries on meeting reporting requirements
Lead the Consolidation and publication of the Group's annual 5 year budget
Preparation of the annual statutory accounts from consolidation through to publication
Provide financial guidance to overseas subsidiaries
Line management of the Consolidation team and the Analysis, Forecasting and Reporting (AFR) team. Supervision of all team members
Liaison with external auditors and the parent company to meet their various requirements for financial information
Support the Corporate Finance team on key initiatives as appropriate
The successful candidate will also be a key interface with the Business Units and will be a strong change manager with the confidence and belief to redesign a number of financial processes.
In your career to date you will have utilised a strong network of stakeholders in order to deliver change.
The key nature of this position requires applicants who are ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified with a first class academic background and significant post qualification experience.
The successful candidate will be fully conversant with IFRS.
The role will require strong communication skills, ability to think strategically and also the ability to apply practical and efficient solutions to tactical and operational level challenges.
With your experience working within a large, complex, blue chip organisation you will understand the need for a balance of both commercial awareness and technical capability in order to drive results for the business.
